Each month on the 4th Thursday of the Month, Mama Kilsmith Presents a Special Songwriters Showcase featuring local Original Independent Artists.
This monthly event takes place in the FRONTROOM of WCUW, Worcester MA Independent Non-Profit Community Radio Station.
This is a “Songwriters-In-the-Round” with a BONUS Open Mic Night is a unique spin on a tried and true Event Format.
The Intention of this Monthly Showcase is to connect all of our various communities of Songwriters in central Mass, and beyond. With this event we hope to create connections and build bridges from city to city here in Worcester County and throughout New England.
We welcome all genres, and cultures of music to participate.

LOCATION - 910 MAIN ST. WORCESTER, MA
WCUW FRONTROOM has space for 70 people, is and plenty of parking in the adjacent lot across the street. There are also Handicapped Spaces Directly in Front of the Station. We welcome our guests to Pack-a-personal-picnic basket of their preferred items, bring takeout etc.

WE RECORD THE EVENT - Video footage of the featured performers will be posted to YouTube and Facebook.
ADMISSION Give what you can, and donate the amount that you think is fitting for the experience. Your donation helps support independent community radio, and help us to be able to keep events like this running.
Doors Open at 6:30p we do a quick Sound Check - then we dim the lights and set the Mood with A Quiet Listening Room Atmosphere. At 7:00p the show begins with our Featured Artists, performing in the Round. Our songwriters will share their music and provide the audience with insight into their creative process, as well as what inspires their music and songwriting.
At Around 8:00 we break for Intermission and Networking in the Brand New "Harold Stevens Art Gallery"
Halfway through the night at 8:30p we begin our Open Mic Portion of the Evening. During Open Mic Each performer may play 2 songs (10 min time slot) If you wish to participate in the open mic, the signups and official lineup are posted the week of the event to our facebook page Mama Kilsmith Open Mics and More.. You can also email Serena directly at serenmaymusic@gmail.com if you would like to join the lineup.

We want you to be a part of our night, your presence is appreciated. Please remember this is a listening room atmosphere.(quiet during performances) Show your respect and support for your fellow songwriters, we promise it will be well worth your time.
The show starts at 7:00 and Runs till 10:00pm. Our Featured Artists would love an audience to play for, and our open Mic participants would as well.
